The wine business is booming. Or, at least, it’s improving, with some segments much stronger than others. That was the news delivered at a meeting of the Wine Market Council, which convened this week in New York – squeezing into a small auditorium at the Museum of Modern Art. The details of report came from Nielsen Marketing VP Danny Brager. Nielsen measures sales for about half the wine industry and about 60% of retail sales. They don’t have much data in the restaurant world, reports The Wall Street Journal.
